New River Valley Regional Jail
THERMO-KOOL recently demonstrated the ability to adapt to any job site requirement with the THERMO-KOOL walk-in cooler/freezer warehouse which was installed at the New River Valley Regional Jail, Dublin, Virginia. The THERMO-KOOL 38’6-1/2” x 30’5” x 11’3” high seven compartment warehouse walk-in, which is pictured preassembled in the THERMO-KOOL factory for final quality control inspection, is an example of THERMO-KOOL’s unique versatility and flexibility in design. With THERMO-KOOL’s ability to manufacture in 1” panel increments the numerous wall and ceiling cutouts were accomplished with every panel locking in place and maximizing the available walk-in capacity so there was no wasted job site space. Other features of the walk-in cooler/freezer warehouse included 48” x 78” entrance doors with special stainless steel thresholds, 36” x 78” entrance doors, 14” x 24” peep windows, 4” dial thermometers with stainless steel mesh covers, 3 and 4-way door switches, treadbrite interior and exterior kickplates and treadbrite exterior jamb guards, treadbrite corner guards, treadbrite wainscot on the exposed exterior, door stops, ID plates, vinyl strip curtains, audio/visual alarms, a surface mount gravity force shear lock, a prison package to ensure tamper resistance and an exterior double channel ceiling support system. THERMO-KOOL also provided an 11’9-1/2” x 10’0” x 9’7-3/4” high vegetable cooler which was also manufactured for actual job site requirements including custom designed ceiling panels for an adjoining vegetable prep room which attached to the vegetable cooler. THERMO-KOOL Customer Account Representative, Kay Kepper worked on the project with Mark Davis, C&T Design and Equipment Company, Inc., Waynesboro, Virginia, the consultant on the project, Hans Faassen, Faassen and Associates, Charlotte, North Carolina and THERMO-KOOL Marketing Agent, Ernie Stalnaker with Lane Marketing Group, Roanoke, Virginia. |
