The Kilgore Middle School, Kilgore, Texas, recently became the home of two Thermo-Kool walk-in cooler/freezer combinations. Pictured above is the uniquely designed 16’10” x 44’2” x 9’2” high “L-shaped” walk-in cooler/freezer preassembled at the Thermo-Kool factory for a thorough quality control inspection which ensures “hidden costs” are avoided during the time of installation. Both the unique configuration of the pictured walk-in cooler/freezer, as well as the actual sizes of both walk-ins is accomplished by utilizing Thermo-Kool’s high-density DURATHANE perimeter to manufacture in 1” panel increments so there is no wasted storage space and every panel locks-in-place with no cutting or pasting necessary at the job site. The exposed and interior finishes of the walk-ins are White Stucco Aluminum with interior ceilings of White Smooth Aluminum which assures maximum illumination on the interior of the walk-ins. Both walk-in cooler/freezer combinations include 36” x 78” doors with 4-1/2” dial thermometers, 14” x 14” peep windows, three spring loaded hinges per door, thermostatically controlled door and frame heaters, air doors, 1/8” treadplate kickplates and jamb guards 36” high on the interior and exterior, temperature alarms with light managers and LED light fixtures all of which help to accomplish an energy efficient application.

According to the Kilgore ISD website their Mission Statement is, “Kilgore ISD is a community committed to doing WHATEVER IT TAKES in helping all students reach a high level of academic achievement as determined by state and national standards with the ability to creatively think, lead, collaborate, communicate and thrive in our local and a global society.
