10-Year Panel Warranty

(Excludes Refrigeration System and its component parts and the various types of accessories which are products of other manufacturers).

We extend the following Warranty to the original Purchaser/User, which shall be deemed to mean the individual or company for whom the Thermo-Kool® product was originally installed.

We warrant that this product is free from defects in material or workmanship under normal use and service. In the event of failure, the obligation of Mid-South Industries, Inc. under this Warranty shall be limited to repairing or replacing at our option, F.O.B Laurel, Miss., any part of said equipment (except the refrigeration system and its component parts, which includes the condensing unit(s), coil(s), and related accessories supplied by Thermo-Kool® as an original part of this product*) which proves defective and which our examination shall disclose to our satisfaction to be thus defective. This Warranty does not cover service items such as fluorescent lights, ballasts, and starters.

This Warranty is in force for 10 years from the date of installation, but not longer than 10 years and 6 months from the date listed hereon.

This Warranty is in lieu of all other guarantees expressed or implied and of all other obligations or liabilities on the part of the corporation which neither assumes nor authorizes any other person to assume for it any other obligation or liability in connection with the sale of said equipment. This Warranty does not apply to equipment which has been subject to any accident, alteration, abuse, misuse or improper installation including damage due to pallet jacks, mobile carts, mobile shelving, forklifts or any other form of rolling traffic. Nor does the warranty apply to damage from water saturating the panels. This Warranty does not include any labor charges for replacement nor does it apply to food spoilage or other consequential damage of any type.

This Warranty is registered in the name of the Thermo-Kool® Dealer (check physical warranty or contact the factory). The Purchaser/User assumes responsibility for the safekeeping of the physical Warranty and must process it through the listed Thermo-Kool® Dealer in the event of a failure.

*The refrigeration condensing unit(s) and related accessories are covered by the standard one-year refrigeration guarantees applied to those items by their manufacturers. Thermo-Kool® does not make available individual five-year warranties on both refrigeration condensing units and on complete self-contained refrigeration systems which can be purchased as operational extras.

5-Year Compressor Warranty

We extend to the original Purchaser/User, which shall be deemed to mean the individual or company for whom the (serial number) Motor Compressor Unit was originally installed, the following protection:

We will repair or replace with a like unit, at our option, F.O.B. Laurel, Miss., the (serial number) Motor Compressor Unit if it proves inoperative and cannot be placed back into operation in the field with normal service efforts. This Warranty is not applicable if upon examination of the unit it is disclosed that the defect is due to improper installation, accident, or misuse.

This Warranty is in force for 5 years from the date of installation, but not longer than 5 years and 4 months from the date listed hereon.

The warranty is registered in the name of the Thermo-Kool® Dealer (check physical warranty or contact the factory). The Purchaser/User assumes responsibility for the safekeeping of the physical Warranty and must process it through the listed Thermo-Kool® Dealer in the event of failure. The listed Thermo-Kool® Dealer must contact the Thermo-Kool® factory for a replacement purchase number.

1-Year Parts Warranty

We extend to the original purchaser/user, which shall be deemed to mean the individual or company for whom the (serial number) refrigeration system was originally installed within the Continental United States the following protection:

Mid-South Industries, Inc., warrants the system to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service for a period of one (1) year from start-up.

We will repair or replace, without charge for parts and labor, any part proven to be defective during the one-year warranty period. Purchaser shall be responsible for all time and travel expenses beyond the limit of twenty-five miles from the installation site and for all shipping charges. This excludes service calls for minor operational adjustments.

Local authorized service agencies must be utilized wherever possible and authorization for all service calls must be made by the factory or by a Thermo-Kool® Manufacturer’s Representative. The original purchaser shall supply Thermo-Kool® within 30 days of start-up with a start-up form determining date the refrigeration system(s) were put into operation by the authorized service agency.

This Warranty does not apply to or cover damages to equipment, or parts thereof, resulting from accident, alteration, misuse, abuse, negligence, acts of God or other casualty, failure to properly service and maintain equipment, failure to install in accordance with instructions, tampering, damages in shipment or to equipment serviced by an unauthorized service agency. This Warranty does not cover the loss of food or other products due to mechanical or electrical failure. Thermo-Kool® reserves the right to withdraw warranty if it is determined that equipment is not being operated properly.

This Warranty is registered in the name of the Thermo-Kool® Dealer listed below. The Purchaser/User assumes responsibility for the safekeeping of the physical Warranty and must process it through the listed Thermo-Kool® Dealer in the event of a failure. The listed Thermo-Kool® Dealer must contact the Thermo-Kool® factory for a replacement purchase number.
