Rand McLaughlin

President and Chief Executive Officer

Rand began his long career at Thermo-Kool on June 12, 1984, and is the President and CEO. He is responsible for the overall management and performance of the company. When Rand isn't at work, he enjoys spending quality time with his children, motorcycling, golfing, surfing, skiing, and reading. His favorite sports are baseball, football, golf, tennis, and motorsport racing, and his favorite foods are Italian, Thai, and Mediterranean.

Mark Fogarty

Executive Vice President and National Sales Manager

Mark rejoined the Thermo-Kool team on May 29, 2024, and is the Executive Vice President and National Sales Manager. He is responsible for helping lead Thermo-Kool as the premier manufacturer and service provider of Walk-ins and Blast Chillers/Shock Freezers. When Mark isn't working, he loves to cook and play with his Frenchie, Moose. Typically, he is always on the go, but when at home, he likes to shoot cooking videos for his YouTube Channel MF Cooks, check it out!

Lee Thames

Vice President and Operations Manager

Lee joined Thermo-Kool on April 1, 1985, and is the Vice President and Operations Manager. He is responsible for overseeing the management of company operations as well as research and development and government regulations and approvals for the company.

Lee holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business with emphasis in Marketing from Mississippi State University. Also, he completed the Owner/President Key Executive Management Program at the Harvard Business School campus in Boston Massachusetts.

When Lee isn’t at work, he enjoys fishing, hunting, golfing, cooking, woodworking, and spending time with family and friends.

Lee and his wife have been married for 42 years and have one son who is married with two sons. Lee and his wife are active members of the Laurel First Methodist Church.

Paul Moss

Vice President and Comptroller

Paul began his career at Thermo-Kool on April 13, 2015, and is the Vice President and Comptroller. He is responsible for managing the financial aspects of the company.

Paul holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Banking and Finance and a Master of Business Administration degree both from the University of Southern Mississippi. Also, he has completed one of Harvard Business School's Executive Education Programs, Finance for Senior Executives, at
the Harvard University campus in Boston, Massachusetts.
 
When Paul isn't at work, he enjoys cooking (particularly both the Creole and Cajun cuisines), barbequing, traveling, golfing, sporting events, the beach, and spending time with his family. For the past ten years, Paul has volunteered to cook 30 gallons of his famous Creole red beans to serve the masses at St. John's Day School's annual Mardi Gras Luncheon in Laurel.

Paul and his wife have been married for 26 years and have one daughter who is a college Sophomore double-majoring in dance (emphasis in classical ballet) and graphic design. Paul and his family are active members of First Methodist Church in Laurel.

Melissa Harrison

Inside Sales Manager

Melissa began her journey at Thermo-Kool on January 3, 2000, and is the Inside Sales Manager. She is responsible for managing the Sales, Drafting, and Scheduling teams as well as working with other management and their departments to ensure the information supplied by our team is accurate. Melissa is currently working with our manufacturing reps to keep up to date on the ongoings within their territories and provide additional support to their teams. When Melissa isn't at work, she enjoys reading and spending time with family, and her new addiction is working out with her son and daughter. Melissa's favorite food is chicken (anyway you can cook it). She isn't much of a sports fan, but she does love reality shows including The Challenge, Big Brother, and Survivor.

David Whitehead

Plant Manager

David joined the Thermo-Kool team on April 28, 2003, and is the Plant Manager. He is responsible for managing all production within the factory. When David isn't at work, he enjoys spending time with his family, which includes his Great Dane, Ripp, riding motorcycles, cooking for others, and conquering every spicy challenge he can find.

Donnie Carpenter

Manufacturing Support Manager

Donnie began his journey at Thermo-Kool on August 16, 2000, and is the Manufacturing Support Manager. He is responsible for production support as well as managing customer service, production design, quality control, engineering, and working with various building code entities. When Donnie isn't at work, he enjoys hiking in the great outdoors and basically anything to do with nature.

Wade Adkins

Production Superintendent

Wade began his long career at Thermo-Kool on March 16, 1992, and is the Production Superintendent. He is responsible for ensuring that the production/shipping schedule is met every week as well as maintaining the overall quality of the product. When Wade isn't at work, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, which includes his dog, Archie, fishing, grilling just about anything, and cheering for Ole Miss. "Hotty Toddy!"

Lisa Hinton

IT/Marketing

Lisa joined Thermo-Kool on September 28, 2009, and is IT/Marketing. She is responsible for coordinating all IT issues and projects with the IT team, and for the marketing, promotion, and growth of the company's brand and culture. When Lisa isn't at work, she enjoys the finer things in life, such as late-night gaming, a good book, writing a book when she can't find ones to read, Chinese food from the hole-in-the-wall down the street, and pretending she's not home when there's a knock at the door. She is a mother to three very spoiled, fat cats, and possibly an outside cat that she feeds but knows deep down is an opossum.

Debbi Tisdale

Customer Account Representative

Debbi started her career at Thermo-Kool on December 7, 1994, and is a Customer Account Representative. She is responsible for working with consultants and outside sales reps to provide quotes and process orders. When Debbi isn't at work, she enjoys playing tennis, walking, motorcycle riding, family time, and watching Judge Judy.

Morgan Morris

Chain Account Supervisor

Morgan joined the Thermo-Kool family on January 28, 2008, and is the Chain Account Supervisor. She is responsible for quoting, order processing, and customer assistance in National Chain Accounts (turnkey package including coordination of the delivery and installation). When Morgan isn't at work, she is spending time with her family, cooking and entertaining, and going to the beach. Her favorite sports teams are Alabama Crimson Tide and the Atlanta Braves, and her favorite restaurant is BR Prime.

Katie Smith

Chain Account Coordinator

Katie began her journey at Thermo-Kool on March 21, 2022, and is a Chain Account Coordinator. She is responsible for quoting, order processing, and customer assistance in National Chain Accounts (turnkey package including coordination of the delivery and installation). When Katie isn't at work, she enjoys spending time with her family.

Erin Harrison

Customer Account Representative

Erin began her journey at Thermo-Kool on April 13, 2015, and is the Sales Supervisor. She is responsible for the quotes and orders across eleven states, in addition to coordinating with Project Managers to meet their specific equipment requirements. Those obligations require various clerical duties, scheduling, and being hands-on with customer service to ensure our clients have all their needs met. When Erin isn't at work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and hanging out with her daughter and watching her sing and dance. Erin is also a member of Centerville Baptist Church in Soso, Mississippi, where she serves on the children's ministry and women's ministry teams.

Allison Ishee

Customer Account Representative

Allison joined the Thermo-Kool team on January 29, 2018, and is a Customer Account Representative Specialist. She is responsible for providing quotes and processing orders/approvals on a daily basis. Allison works closely with foodservice dealers and consultants along with our local reps for the territories she covers. When Allison isn't at work, she loves playing music with her band and watching the Cowboys play football on the weekends. She could probably eat sushi everyday if she could. Allison and her husband have been married for 12 years and have two children.

Ashley Kelly

Customer Account Representative

Ashley became part of the Thermo-Kool family on November 12, 2021, and is a Customer Account Representative. She is responsible for handling customer requests and questions on a variety of support channels; taking and processing orders for products and checking quotes, orders, and POs for accuracy; building a sustainable and mutually beneficial relationship between customers, reps, consultants, dealers, and the Thermo-Kool brand; and communicating with clients and customers about their experiences with a product or service. When Ashley isn't at work, she is a full-time student and mom of four teenagers. She likes to learn and currently holds four certifications and is working on her second degree. Ashley is also terrified of rubber bands!

Samantha Bass

Customer Account Representative

Samantha began her career at Thermo-Kool on October 17, 2022, and is a Customer Account Representative. She is responsible for assisting CARs with freight quote estimates, assisting scheduling with freight additions, assisting chain accounts with invoicing and keeping track of installation photos and documents for installation of walk-ins and refrigeration (working closely with AP by sending approvals for payment).

Summer Gregory

Executive Assistant

Summer joined the Thermo-Kool team on July 8, 2020, and is a Sales Assistant. She is responsible for assisting the Executive VP and the Inside Sales Manager as well as assisting the sales team with order processing, quoting, and all paperwork dealing with or around the sales department. She is also the translator for the company. Summer was born in the Republic of Panama, and when she isn't at work, she enjoys being a dog mom and going out. Her favorite food is seafood, and her favorite color is purple.

Shelby Bunkheila

Customer Service Supervisor

Shelby joined Thermo-Kool on June 19, 2019, and is the Customer Service Supervisor role. He is responsible for handling parts, service, and technical calls along with warranty issues for walk-ins, blast chillers/shock freezers, and refrigeration. When Shelby isn’t at work, he enjoys golfing, a steak with a good bottle of wine, and spending time with his family and friends.

Larry Gandy

Customer Service Consultant

Larry began his long career at Thermo-Kool on April 24, 1979, and is a Customer Service Consultant. He is responsible for providing technical support to all departments and generally supporting the company with his amassed 45 years of experience. When Larry isn't at work, he enjoys hunting and fishing. But most of all, Larry loves beekeeping beecause "it provides healthy benefits and sweet rewards."

Dwayne Tisdale

Customer Service Technician

Dwayne joined the Thermo-Kool team on August 24, 1998, and is a Customer Service Technician. He is responsible for processing part orders, placing service calls, assisting with warranty claims, and all other aspects of customer service. When Dwayne isn't at work, he enjoys teaching adult Sunday school, spending time with his family, fishing, hunting, and cooking. His favorite foods are steak, fried fish, ribs, and brisket (just to name a few). Dwayne loves watching baseball at any level, from t-ball to MLB.

Audreanna McCray

Customer Service Assistant

"Anna" began her career at Thermo-Kool on January 21, 2022, and is a Customer Service Assistant. She is responsible for assisting Customer Service with the handling of parts, service, and technical calls as well as warranty issues. When Anna isn't at work, she loves crafting and spending time with her family and friends.

Carol Hathorn

Scheduling Supervisor

Carol started her career at Thermo-Kool on July 6, 1993, and is the Scheduling Supervisor. She is responsible for scheduling walk-in cooler/freezer and blast chiller/shock freezer orders for manufacturing and shipping. When Carol isn't at work, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, family, and dogs. She's not big on cooking, but she loves to go out to eat. Her favorite food is fried catfish, and her favorite getaway is spending time at the beach.

Tammy Jennings

Scheduling Assistant

Tammy joined the Thermo-Kool team on April 30, 2018, and is the Scheduling Specialist. She is responsible for scheduling all shipments/deliveries with the customers, trucks, and jobsites. When Tammy isn't at work, she enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time with family. She also loves to paint door hangers and do resin art.

Justin Pugh

Accounting Supervisor

Justin began his journey at Thermo-Kool on March 10, 2014, and is the Accounting Supervisor. He is responsible for overseeing aspects of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. When Justin isn't at work, he enjoys shopping, traveling, sports, and designing cars. His favorite player in sports is Lebron James. Justin also loves teaching Sunday School and spending time with his family. His favorite foods are hamburgers, fajita salad on rice, and, most of all, the Catfish Plaquemine from Crescent City Grill.

Nikki Ashford

Accounts Payable

Nikki joined the Thermo-Kool team on July 17, 2017, and is in Accounts Payable. She is responsible for ensuring all vendors are paid in a timely manner, setting up new vendors, printing and processing invoices, completing credit applications, monitoring our positive paycheck fraud system daily, and making sure the ap aging is current. When Nikki isn't at work, she sings with a recording choir and is a photographer.

Amber Henley

Accounts Payable

Amber began her journey at Thermo-Kool on July 5, 2022, and is in Accounts Payable. She is responsible for ensuring all vendors are paid on time, printing and keying invoices, monitoring positive paycheck fraud system daily, making sure the accounts payable aging is current, and assisting with job costing. When Amber isn't at work, she enjoys writing and sending time with her two children.

Melissa Wade

Accounts Receivable

Melissa joined the Thermo-Kool family on July 11, 2022, and is in Accounts Receivable. She is responsible for job costings, putting jobs into spreadsheets, coding jobs, and archiving jobs into our system. When Melissa isn't at work, she is spending time with her family and friends. She loves to shop. Her favorite season is summer, where she can stay in the sun and the water, especially if that sunny place is the beach. She is a mother of three children, two boys and one girl.

Danielle Herrington

Payroll

Danielle joined the Thermo-Kool team on December 26, 2019, and is in Payroll. She is responsible for payroll processing, the daily cash report, costing of invoices, remakes, and helping with other duties as necessary. When Danielle isn't at work, she enjoys watching her wonderful boys play baseball and recently football as they add to their sports, eating Mexican food (or any food really) with friends and wonderful coworkers, and seeing people for exactly what they are. She's learned a lot after losing her husband and best friend Eric Charles, "Tater," Coach Herrington. Life is short.

Heath Morris

Purchasing Supervisor

Heath joined the Thermo-Kool family on May 23, 1995, and is the Purchasing Supervisor. He is responsible for all functions of Purchasing and supervision of the Stockroom as purchasing and the stockroom work closely together to maintain adequate inventory for plant production. When Heath isn't at work, he enjoys spending time with his family and coaching his kids in whatever sport they are participating in. He likes playing golf and loves college football, especially attending Alabama games. Pizza and spaghetti are his favorite foods.

Tracy Hill

Purchasing Agent

Tracy joined the Thermo-Kool team on February 16, 1998, and is a Purchasing Agent. He is responsible for purchasing all equipment, both in the factory and the office, utilized by company personnel. When Tracy isn't at work, he enjoys the outdoors, hunting, and watching college baseball. His greatest joys in life are Jesus Christ, his wife, and his children.

Kimberly McRoy

Human Resources Director

Kimberly began her journey at Thermo-Kool on September 11, 2023, and is the Human Resources Director. She is responsible for overseeing and directing Human Resources. Thermo-Kool employees and culture are her primary focus. When Kimberly isn't at work or with family, she enjoys the outdoors and working with WJHS Baseball as a Yoga Instructor.

Marketta Reddoch

Executive Assistant

Marketta joined Thermo-Kool on November 1, 2022, and is the Executive Assistant. She is responsible for assisting the President and CEO and the Vice President and Operations Manager. When Marketta isn't at work, she enjoys the outdoors, working in her yard, saltwater fishing, hiking, camping, and riding four-wheelers. Her favorite food is an "Everything Bagel" with cream cheese from Starbucks and her favorite sport is football (Alabama "Roll Tide").

Michaela Odom

Sales Secretary

Michaela began her next chapter at Thermo-Kool on November 1, 2021, and is a Sales Secretary. She is responsible for creating and emailing warranty copies to our customers. Her other duties are entering job information into our system to be scheduled for shipping; renaming QC and truck pictures, then submitting them into our system; and answering calls and transferring them to the correct department. When Michaela isn't at work, she enjoys being a new mom to her baby boy. She loves being around her friends and family and making precious memories with them. Michaela's favorite food is spaghetti.

1960: The Beginning

The Beginning

Established in Laurel, MS, the company opened its doors under the name Mid-South Industries, Inc. Shortly after, we adopted the name “Thermo-Kool” in order to present a more memorable name within the industry.

1975

1975-TIMELINE

With only fifteen years into the industry, Thermo-Kool soon realized it was outgrowing its humble beginnings. The company soon moved to its new, modern manufacturing facility in North Laurel Industrial Park. This spacious, ten-acre plant allowed us to meet the level of production demanded by our ever-increasing sales volume.

Our new comptroller office opened in our downtown area. This facility housed the company’s accounting, data processing, and credit department.

To accommodate our increased production, and to better meet the needs and expectations of our customers, it became a necessity and a privilege for us to expand our factory location in order to not only facilitate higher production, but to integrate new, more modern equipment so that we can continue to produce a superior, quality product.
