Thermo Kool sat down with two of PMR’s Principals, Matt Henson and Mary Roberts, to talk through what operators should keep in mind and how the right support can make all the difference.

What makes your rep group the go-to choice for foodservice operators? 

PMR stays up to date on the trends and technical aspects of foodservice equipment to provide the best support for operators. We are application experts and want to offer first-in-class support to our customers.

Refrigeration technology is always evolving—how do you stay ahead of the curve?

Thermo-Kool does an excellent job keeping us aware of what’s on the horizon with refrigeration via constant communication and knowledgeable training.

What are the biggest factors operators should consider when choosing refrigeration equipment in your region? 

One of the biggest issues we see in our market is our competition undersizing the refrigeration units. (The Customer Service team at) Thermo-Kool . . . does a very thorough job of asking all the right questions about what the walk-in is going to be used for and what is going to be stored in it. 

Because of the high temperatures and humidity in our market, this is crucial for the operator.

What’s one of the biggest challenges you’ve helped a foodservice operator overcome when installing a walk-in? 

The best box is only as good as the installation. We stay in the process through design, quotation, and installation to help foster the best possible outcome.

Can you share a time when Thermo-Kool’s ability to tailor a walk-in made a major impact on a project? 

Northside Hospital in Atlanta needed a walk-in that required exact measurements to the nth degree around multiple columns with zero room for inaccuracy or design flaws. Thermo-Kool was able to execute with precision to provide the customer with a walk-in that met their needs and exceeded their expectations.

If you had to describe Thermo-Kool in one word, what would it be? 

Trailblazer.

What’s one feature of Thermo-Kool products that always impresses your customers? 

It’s hard to choose just one so here are two. Superb panel fit and all the people that work at Thermo-Kool. We are constantly told it’s the caring human touch that Thermo-Kool offers that sets them apart.
